The purpose of DHSS is to enhance and sustain the health and welfare of the community. This is achieved via the services; each program within the department has a unique mission, goals, and objectives designed to meet the specific needs of a target population using specialized resources, employee skills, and knowledge. DHSS Administration provides leadership and support to the programs in the planning, development, budgeting, implementation, evolution, and compliance of all programs.
